US-Based Audio Visual Systems Engineer

Atlanta, Georgia, USA

My name is Adam Rixey. I have been designing and commissioning pro audio visual systems since 1998. Occasionally, that includes lighting and control systems.

the prequel

After developing engineering skills with a pro-audio R&D group as an intern starting in 1993, my audio visual electrical engineering work took me to over 20 countries around the planet including both east and west circumnavigations. By working both on-site and in-office, I designed, commissioned and took pride in training operators of audio visual, lighting, and control systems for IMAX Theatres, museums, very large churches and military simulators.

Minus a 3-month summer adventure to Alaska, I have worked for audio visual system integrators for 20 years... over half my life.

In 2009, I passed my Professional Engineering license exam in Georgia.

While being one of the first digital-hardware based Professional Engineers, my career love is balancing audio visual hardware integration with software control systems.
